Convivium Brands private label wines has been mentioned in a blog by a very bright and motivated aspiring wine professional named Elizabeth.  Her site, http://elizconnections.com , is a blog about her strategy to utilize networking and social networking sites to learn about opportunities in wine sales and distribution in the tri-state area. 

Check out this great idea!  An unbreakable wine tasting glass, can go in the dishwasher, you can pack it in your luggage, serve wine or beer poolside and not worry about broken glass.

Last night, after speaking to Bob Marr, owner and winemaker of a tiny winery called Marr Cellars, I pulled a bottle of his 2000 Mattern Ranch Old Vines Zinfandel Mendocino County out of my cellar.  We had been speaking about his current releases and his anticipation of the 2008 harvest.

We have had a great response to our last newsletter to suppliers.  In the newsletter was a tender for private label wines from France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Argentina and Chile.  We have received some great pricing from some wineries that we have done business with or visited in the past, as well as some new wineries.

One of the questions that parcipants are asking us is, how do we guarantee that the restaurants, stores or other clients will continue to order private label wines after the initial purchase?

Convivium Brands is expanding our current private label wine offerings.  We have found some excellent sources of wines in California. 

These wines are from vineyards in key wine-growing regions, including Paso Robles, Alexander Valley, Santa Barbara, Russian River Valley and Napa Valley.

We will be adding these wines both to this site and to our store.  Offerings will include Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and Lodi Old Vines Zinfandel.

Convivium Brands is expanding our portfolio to include private label spirits.  We are currently working with a couple of very high quality spirits producers to create small run private label bottlings.

Information on these new  offerings will be made available on this site, as well on on our store site, store.conviviumbrands.com.

Our offerings will include Cognac, single malt scotch, vodka, rum and Armagnac.
